Entry Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successfully complete the enrolment process including LLN assessment.

Where training and assessment is to be completed in the workplace, the following entry requirement is included:

  • Nominate and have approved a suitable workplace to complete the course.”

Vocational Outcome

This course is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to enter and work in confined spaces. After the completion of the Course, Candidates will gain the following skills and expertise:

  • Confined Space legislation & Workplace Hazards & Safe Work Procedures.
  • Confined Space Entry Permits
  • Confined Space Equipment using CF Harnesses, tripods & VED devices.
  • Confined Space Emergency Procedures and Confined Space Rescue Drills.
  • Perform CPR

Pathways

Students who successfully complete this unit of competency will be awarded a statement of attainment and wallet sized card. Employment pathways upon the completion of this unit of competency include a range of possible job titles that require working in confined spaces.
